The Neighbourhood Small Grants program is now open for applications! If you’re an individual with an idea to help bring your neighbours together and strengthen your community, we want to hear from you.

Through this program, we offer $500 grants to fund projects or events that foster connection, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging. Whether it’s organizing a neighbourhood block party, starting a community garden, building a little library for your street, or hosting a skill-sharing or emergency preparedness workshop, Neighbourhood Small Grants can help turn your vision into reality.

Applications are open until March 15, 2025, and are open to residents of Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Lantzville, Cedar, and Gabriola Island who are looking to build stronger ties within their neighbourhoods. We believe that small acts of community can have a big impact, and this is a great opportunity to make a difference where you live.
