Through the Give Where You Live Fund, we offer grants of up to $15,000 to local charities to support pilot and capital projects. These grants empower organizations to launch innovative programs and enhance their infrastructure, enabling them to better serve our community and address its evolving needs. By investing in these projects, we continue to drive impactful change and foster a spirit of local generosity and support.

  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and effective management;
  • Demonstrate inclusiveness and respect for diversity and equity.

The Give Where You Live Fund provides grants towards capital projects and pilot projects.

The Give Where You Live Fund supports projects and programs:

  • Where there is demonstrated need, likelihood of effectiveness, and potential to serve as a model to others;
  • That build on the strengths of the community to respond to identified issues and priorities;
  • Align with Nanaimo Foundation’s mission.

Nanaimo Foundation’s priorities for support are based on our Vital Signs Report data and ongoing community needs assessment.
